Court ask gov not to withdraw sub-judice cases

The Supreme Court has barred the government from withdrawing sub judice cases through Cabinet decision. The court on Thursday concluded that the government had withdrawn such cases “arbitrarily on political ground”. The SC asked the government to allow regular court procedure on such cases. The bench, comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha and Justices Girish Chandra Lal, Sushila Karki, Baidyanath Upadhyay and Gopal Parajuli, ruled that sub judice cases should follow the due legal process.
